We are privileged to have Larry Rowland to speak at our national meeting. He will speak on the history of Beaufort and the Huguenot connection during the Revolutionary War. Mr. Rowland is the Distinguished Professor Emeritus of History for the University of South Carolina, Beaufort, and previously held roles with USC as Professor of History and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College in New York, and both his masters and doctoral degrees from the University of South Carolina. He has authored numerous books and articles about South Carolina and the Sea Islands History.
